Slow Summer Festival: Post office lane night markets
The 2012 Slow Summer Festival kicks off on Friday the 20th of January with the inaugural Post Office Lane Night Markets.
This is the first time that the markets are to be held in the centre of Orange, utilising the unique central business district to create a buzz of excitement for the launch of the Slow Summer Festival week.
The Night Markets promises to be filled with a bustle of activity and an appealing range of stalls offering food, wine, gifts, music and children’s entertainment. There is a well-lit dining area to relax in while the children enjoy the face painting, jumping castle and craft.

“We are thrilled to be able to host these night markets in Post Office Lane,” expressed Taste Orange CEO Rhonda Sear. “It promises to have a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere and has attracted a great range of local artisans and producers.”
“There will be wood fired pizzas, vegetarian dishes, a dessert stall and local wine. It’s a perfect time to drop in after work, or bring the family for dinner and leisurely wander around.”
There will be a number of stalls at the markets, with products including jewellery, candles and aromatherapy, photography, olives and olive oils, cheese, antiques, rocking horses and confectionery.
The Post Office Lane Night Markets will commence at 5.30pm and conclude at 8.30pm. Entry is free.
There are a limited number of stalls still available and those interested in participating are asked to contact Jemima Key at jemima@mojoevents.com.au
