Slow Summer, A celebration of family, friends, water and a healthy life

The fourth annual Orange Region ‘Slow Summer’ promises a fabulous array of events for all the family.  Running from the 20th to the 29th of January 2012, ‘Slow Summer 2012’ will be Central Range’s most exciting summer festival.

The key theme to Slow Summer 2012 is water, family and friends, and a healthy lifestyle.  This theme will come to life through the broad range of family based activities, many of which offer free entry.

Mornings in Orange will be a colourful gathering of the community with the Rotary Breakfasts in Robertson Park.  This relaxed start to the day will set the scene for the week, with a plethora of family activities from the vigorous ‘Dragon Boat Challenge during the Day at the Beach to the calmer ‘Slow Summer Stars and Outdoor Cinema.

“We’re looking forward to hosting so many great events,” commented Taste Orange Executive Officer Rhonda Sear. “Slow Summer has been growing steadily over the past few years.  We are welcoming an increase in visitors traveling to the region for these events.  The 2012 Slow Summer offers a diverse range of activities for all the family.  It will be a great week of water and fun to finish off the school holidays.”
